Michael Morhaime is the president and the founder of Blizzard. He is easy going. The first time I saw him was when he had lunch at cafeteria.

 

Last week, he called an emergent meeting of the whole QA department just to tell us a story. During the Blizzcon, when he was busy with the audience, two employees from QA department went to him to tell how happy they were at Blizzcon. Michael turned back and yelled "NOT NOW!" After two seconds, he realized it was inappropriate, but the two employees had gone. Therefore, he called this special meeting to apologize to those two employees. Everyone laughed and the thick air of misunderstanding lifted immediately.

 

In my opinion, Michael is an outstanding leader in this case. It's not all his fault, but he dared to apologize in front of all the employees. His sincere apology resolves the incident. Everyone likes him more. It's a good lesson for those leaders who only care their personal authority.
